Surgery TimesWe run a full appointment system. The surgery is open:
Cancellations:Appointments are in high demand. Some appointments each week are wasted when patients fail to turn up. If you cannot attend your appointment or no longer require it, please inform us as soon as possible as this will allow someone else to be seen by the doctor or nurse. Emergencies:If you are confronted by a serious problem such as severe chest pain or severe bleeding, call an ambulance (telephone 999) before calling the surgery and informing the doctor. Out of hours:
This is an emergency service who will pass your request on to the Duty Doctor. This service cannot take any other sort of message from patients, such as making surgery appointments or dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions. It is more appropriate in extreme emergencies (eg. severe chest pain, collapse) to dial 999 for an ambulance, or accidents to go to Accident & Emergency Dept at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. Eye casualties should attend Queen Alexandra Hospital but must phone 023 9228 6162 or 023 9228 6062 before going there. Information on other treatment options (minor injuries units, walk-in centres) can be found on our Notice Board. |
