We run a full appointment system. The surgery is open:
- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6.30pm
- The telephone is manned from 8.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00 - 6.30pm. Outside of the surgery hours an answer phone will play a message giving contact details for medical services.
Appointments are in high demand. Some appointments each week are wasted when patients fail to turn up. If you cannot attend your appointment or no longer require it, please inform us as soon as possible as this will allow someone else to be seen by the doctor or nurse.
If you are confronted by a serious problem such as acute chest pain or profuse bleeding, call an ambulance (telephone 999) before calling the surgery and informing the doctor.
Out of hours:
A duty doctor is on-call for emergencies that cannot wait until the next working day. Between
1.00 - 2.00pm Monday to Friday please contact the normal surgery telephone number for urgent
medical problems. The responsibility for providing out of hours cover between 6.30pm - 8.00am
belongs to the Out of Hours Service. You may call them direct on 111 or telephone the surgery
where an answering service will give you instructions.
Jubilee Surgery is not a walk-in clinic for minor injuries or illness. If you arrive at the surgery
in such circumstances, you may be advised to attend the Accident and Emergency Unit at
Queen Alexandra Hospital or the Minor Injuries Unit at Gosport War Memorial. Please note
that any head injuries must go to Queen Alexandra Hospital. Eye casualties must phone
023 9228 6000 (bleep 1027) before going to the hospital.
